Hi, Kaushik!
Alex and I had our interview this past Wednesday for his I-485, and everything went really well. While sitting in the enormous waiting area, we had the chance to observe so many different parties, clients and lawyers, who were undergoing a similar process. If we felt that we were in a position to benefit from professional assistance with the remainder of the legalities, I want you to know that we would not hesitate to call you. Your professionalism, innate courtesy and care far outweigh the qualities displayed by any of the lawyers we encountered in that enormous room. You always had a thorough response to our endless questioning, and we knew we could trust that you would help us make the best decisions. It’s a difficult thing to describe, the way in which you put us at ease with your breadth of knowledge and experince sitting beneath your calm and patient guidance. Both Alex and I picked up on it immiediately in our first phone call with you, and we relied on it each step of the way. And look at us now.
We are now living in Brooklyn, and Alex is looking for a volunteer position in biomedical research at a teaching hospital in the area. He hopes to get experience in the medical field here in the States while preparing for his medical boards. We love our diverse neighborhood and hope to raise a family here. We played in the weekly pool tournament at our corner bar last night, and each week we get closer to winning. People in this neighborhood really know how to play! I’m better than he is of course, but we’re both improving. ;) We were together the first time he saw what a snowflake actually looks like, and I kiss him goodbye every morning when I leave for work. Things are going very well for us, and I want you to know how much we appreciate your part in ensuring that.
I regret that we never were able to meet you face to face, but we know where to find you and will be sure and do so if the opportunity ever presents itself.
