Getting there by car

From the North Bay:

  1. Get on Highway US-101 S (South) and continue on it to San Francisco.
  2. Follow a slight left off the highway onto Lombard St and continue for 1.1 miles.
  3. Turn right onto Van Ness Ave and continue for 1.2 miles.
  4. Turn left on O’Farrell St.
  5. Turn right onto Powell St.
  6. Turn left at Ellis St and then make a sharp right onto Market St.

From the South Bay:

From San Jose:

  1. Go southwest on E Santa Clara St toward N 5th St.
  2. Turn right at Notre Dame Ave.
  3. Take the ramp onto CA-87 N (North)/Guadalupe Pkwy and continue on it for 3 miles.
  4. Take exit 9B on the left to merge onto US-101 N (North) toward San Francisco and continue on it for 43.1 miles.
  5. Follow the slight right at I-80 E (signs for Oakland/I-80/Bay Bridge/Seventh St/US-101 N).
  6. Take exit 1 for Seventh St toward US-101 N.
  7. Turn left at 7th St.
  8. Turn right onto Market St.

From Fremont:

  1. Begin going northwest on Liberty St toward Capitol Ave.
  2. Turn left onto Capitol Ave.
  3. Turn right at State St.
  4. Turn left onto Mowry Ave and continue for 1.5 miles.
  5. Merge onto I-880 N (North) via the ramp to Oakland and continue for 26.9 miles.
  6. Take the left exit onto I-80 W (West) toward San Francisco/Bay Bridge Partial toll road and continue for 7.3 miles.
  7. Take exit 1B on the left for 5th St toward Golden Gate Bridge/US-101 N.
  8. Make a slight right at 5th St.
  9. Turn right at Market St.

From the East Bay:

From Oakland:

  1. Start heading northwest on 14th St/Int’l Dr toward Clay St.
  2. Turn left at Martin Luther King Jr Way.
  3. Turn right at 12th St.
  4. Turn right to merge onto I-980 E (East) toward Walnut Creek/CA-24 E and continue for 1 mile.
  5. Take the exit onto I-580 W (West) toward San Francisco and continue for 1.5 miles.
  6. Take the exit on the left onto I-80 W (West) toward San Francisco Partial toll road and continue for 7.3 miles.
  7. Take exit 1B on the left for 5th St toward Golden Gate Bridge/US-101 N.
  8. Make a slight right at 5th St.
  9. Turn right at Market St.

From Hayward:

  1. Begin going west on B St toward Montgomery St.
  2. Turn right at Montgomery St.
  3. Turn left at A St and continue for 1.1 miles.
  4. Turn right and merge onto I-880 N (North) toward Oakland and continue for 15.7 miles.
  5. Take the exit on the left onto I-80 W (West) toward San Francisco/Bay Bridge Partial toll road and continue for 7.3 miles.
  6. Take exit 1B on the left for 5th St toward Golden Gate Bridge/US-101 N (North).
  7. Make a slight right at 5th St.
  8. Turn right at Market St.

Getting there by BART

From Fremont, Hayward or San Leandro:

Take a Daly City train to Powell St Station. Trains arrive every fifteen minutes. You should arrive in 48 minutes.

From Dublin/Pleasanton:

Take a Daly City train to Powell St Station. Trains arrive every fifteen minutes. You should arrive in 49 minutes.

From Downtown Oakland (19th St or 12th St):

Take either a Millbrae or San Francisco Int’l (International) Airport train to Powell St Station. Trains arrive every seven minutes. You should arrive in about fifteen minutes.

From East Oakland (Coliseum/Oakland Airport, Fruitvale, and Lake Merritt):

Take a Daly City train to Powell St Station. Trains arrive every seven minutes. You should arrive in 23 minutes or less.

From West Oakland:

Take a Millbrae, Daly City or San Francisco Int’l (International) Airport train to Powell St Station. Trains arrive every four minutes. You should arrive in about eleven minutes.

From Richmond or Berkeley:

To go directly, take a Millbrae train to Powell St. Trains arrive every fifteen minutes and you should arrive in 38 minutes or less. Alternatively, you can take a Fremont train to Macarthur Station, where you must transfer to a San Francisco Int’l (International) Airport train. You should still arrive in 38 minutes or less.

From Pittsburgh/Bay Point:

Take a San Francisco Int’l (International) Airport train to Powell St Station. Trains arrive every fifteen minutes. You should arrive in 55 minutes.

Once you arrive at the Powell St BART Station, walk straight down Market Street past the Gap until you reach the James Flood Memorial Building (between Anthropologie and Puma). Take the elevator to the fifth floor and find office 570.
